"Coaching has had a profound effect on me. My confidence at work is shifting more positively and I just feel more able to be present . I feel so much lighter. I feel I have effective strategies in place to support my wellbeing and some tools to engage in my negative thoughts and talk my way through them."

M

I’m a trained personal and business coach, a qualified hypnotherapist, a member of the International Coaching Federation — and a mum of three.

I support people who are ready to create meaningful, positive change in their lives. That might mean bringing more calm or joy into the everyday, navigating a career change, or becoming a more present and connected parent.

My professional journey began at the National Trust Magazine, where I spent eight years as Deputy Editor. What I loved most was interviewing — holding space, asking thoughtful questions, and building real one-to-one connections. That passion for deep listening and meaningful conversation eventually led me into the world of hypnotherapy and coaching.

After a life-changing hypnobirthing course during my first pregnancy, I trained as a hypnobirthing instructor and hypnotherapist to help other women feel empowered and confident about birth. Over six years, I supported hundreds of women and birth partners through that incredible transition.

Training as a coach felt like a natural progression. Having personally navigated a career shift and the challenges of working while raising three children, I understand both the empowerment that change can bring — and the overwhelm, guilt, and anxiety that can come with it. My work is about helping people find clarity, confidence, and alignment in the midst of real life.

"Deborah made me feel utterly safe and supported and provided me with knowledgeable tools that were Fantastic. I feel empowered to make positive changes - and have already seen the benefit and difference to my day to day life and general outlook and approach to things that trouble me."

What is coaching?

Coaching is an amazing and empowering process that can help with so many aspects of life - from building confidence, to challenging limiting beliefs, bringing more calm into your life or managing anxiety and impostor syndrome.

Coaching is a partnership in which we will explore your everyday reality and increase your self awareness, enabling you to make shifts in your life, whether these are small or big changes.

Who I work with

I work with people who want to enjoy their lives more, manage anxiety and overwhelm and build confidence. Many of my clients come to coaching because they want to make a change - the subjects and challenges my clients bring often include:

Increasing confidence

Becoming a more present parent

CAREER CHANGE & RETURNING TO WORK

Challenging limiting beliefs

Understanding Neurodiversity

Managing overwhelm & ANXIETY

Exploring and understanding emotions

Increasing calm and fun

How I work

I work in a warm and supportive way - from my garden studio in Sonning Common or virtually. I create a safe and confidential space that is judgement-free where my clients feel seen, heard and nurtured. I am empathetic and a great listener and draw from my knowledge of TA, positive psychology and neuroscience.
I bring in somatic, NLP, and visualisation exercises, as well as my hypnotherapy experience.

I recommend booking a course of sessions that can be held one or two weeks apart.

My fees are £75 for an hour’s session or £400 for a block of six.

I would recommend a block of six sessions to help integrate shifts in habits and make change - holding the sessions a week or two apart helps build motivation. For some a few sessions might be enough.

"My goals have exceeded any expectation I had when starting this journey. I came in with a view to improve one thing in my professional element of my life but it ended up exploring so much of my personal life, particularly my mothering."
